THE LAM ASSOCIATION

For news, events, workshops or any other updates about our Association, this is the right place.
(Updates in chronological order - the most recent being at the top.)

NEW MEDITATION CLASS COMING

Our Association is happy to announce the restart of its Meditation class.  It has been some years since we last ran it.

However, this time it will be in an entirely new format. It will be a hybrid class, meaning you can attend either in person or online.  Also, this class will take place just once a month – on the second Saturday of each month, 12:30pm-1:30pm.  (It will begin immediately after the Tai Chi class.)

Our first Meditation lesson will be held on Saturday, the 13th of September 2025.

No prior experience is required. You can just drop in at our studio or book via our subscription system.  Price on enquiry.

TWO NEW CLASSES
ON THURSDAY NIGHTS

Our Association is very happy to announce the launch of two brand-new public classes on Thursday, 12th January 2023.

Chinese Staff, 7pm-8pm
Choy Lee Fut, 8pm-9pm

These classes will be for complete beginners. You do not need to have any prior knowledge or experience.

This is a very rare treat from our Association. It has been some years since our last Staff class and even longer since we had last taught CLF publicly.  After all, our Association is more health-orientated than anything else.

Nevertheless, we wish our newer members - as well as newcomers - to explore and experience our range of disciplines.  Hence, the new classes!

Don’t miss this rare opportunity!  Price on inquiry.

TAI CHI CLASSES
OPENING UP FURTHER

We are happy to announce that our current Tai Chi classes are now welcoming newcomers!

Previously, our Tai Chi lessons are limited to those who have already learnt our Lam Style short form.  And we used to open new group classes from time to time for newcomers to learn our form collectively from the beginning.

After a short testing period at the studio, we have now decided to open up our existing Tai Chi classes for newcomers also!  Even if you do not know any Tai Chi at all, you are still very welcome to join our class.

Under the new arrangement, you can start your Tai Chi at any time.  There is no specific starting date.  However, please be aware that, for the first 10 or more lessons, you would be learning separately from the group. You will join the group once you have learnt our short form completely. Of course, you may on occasions be practising with the group even before that.

So, if you wish to learn Tai Chi and missed our last occasion, this is your perfect solution.  Just phone us and enquire.

ANNOUNCING
MASTER LAM'S NEW WORK

We are very happy to announce the coming of Master Lam’s new project!

This project is in the form of a video series.

For a small glimpse, please click the link below and see our promotion trailer:

https://youtu.be/X3VEUDQ5Jho

Now, more than ever, people are in need of our Zhan Zhuang system.  Yet, at the same time, many people are far less able to or willing to commute.  In light of this development, Master Lam has decided to create a teaching video series to help those people.

At this moment, our aim is to have the series on an online platform. This would allow anyone to view it from anywhere in the world.  More details will be announced once we are ready.

Much appreciated if you would share the link with friends and family who may be interested.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

CLASSES IN SEPTEMBER

We are very happy to announce that our Association will finally re-open its public classes in September!

Our first class will be on Saturday, 4th September 2021!

Unfortunately, these classes will be limited to members only until further notice.

STUDIO CLOSED AGAIN

Due to the government announcement on Saturday, 31st October 2020, all on-site services at the studio will be suspended from Thursday, 5th November 2020.  In another words, there will be no healing session and no private tuition until further notice.

Currently, the suspension is expected to be 4 weeks long.  But it is too soon to say.  Once we have an reopening date, we will announce it promptly on this website.  Once again, thank you for your patience.

STUDIO RE-OPENING!

After many months of waiting, we can finally say that we are once again re-opened for business.  Private tuitions and healing sessions are available by appointment only.

To be 'Convid-Secure', we would ask all visitors to wash their hands as they come and leave.  In accordance with the guidelines, we will have precautionary measures in place for any close contact.  (Anyone with coughs or fever should cancel their appointments with us.)

With regard to our classes, unfortunately, they are still suspended.  We will announce our resuming date once we have more information from the government.

CLASSES SUSPENDED

Due to the latest government guideline, we are sad to announce the suspension of our weekly classes until further notice.

However, it is in such harsh times that health-orientated, internal arts like Chi Kung shine most brightly. (In China, many TV/internet channels are strongly promoting people to practise various Chi Kung exercises to its citizens.)  If you are already in self-isolation, we recommend you to practise your Chi Kung diligently on your own in the meantime.

As soon as our classes resume, we will notify everyone.

Stay safe and stay healthy.
