THE LAM CLINIC

What happens at the healing session? What should you be expecting?

Mobirise
  • What does the diagnosis involve?
    It usually consist of one or more of the following:
    • full examination of body structure and joints;
    • detailed assessment of body movement (walking, joint flexibility);
    • inquiry into stress factors;
    • inquiry on life and work patterns (such as hours of work at a computer); and/or
    • inquiry on general medical history.
  • What is involved in treatment?
    We do not use invasive techniques like surgery or acupuncture. Depending on your case, it would include one or more of the following:
    • Hands-on work with muscles, tendons and connective tissue;
    • Bone and joint realignment;
    • Postural correction;
    • Specialist massage and bodywork using our clinic’s specialist oils;
    • Removal of pain-causing blockages in internal energy circulation;
    • Dietary and other bio-physical advice.
  • Does the treatment include physical exercise?
    Depending on your case, you may be shown gentle exercises to do every day between appointments. These help relax strained muscles, release pressure on nerves and correct your posture. The exercises do not require any equipment and can be done at home. They are adapted to each person’s unique needs.
  • Do I need to prepare anything for the healing sessions?
    We recommend you to wear loose, comfortable clothes so that you may show your affected area if applicable. We would also be asking you to take off your shoes at our venue.
  • How long is a healing session?
    One session is usually 30 minutes long.  However, in some special cases, it may need to be longer.
  • How many times do I need to come?
    Each person is treated as an individual. There is no ‘off-the-peg‘ treatment plan. It depends greatly on your body's rate of adjustment and whether any external factor occur in the meantime.
  • Does it involve drugs or Chinese medicines?
    There is no injection or other oral drugs involved. Depending on your case, specialist ointment/oil and/or a warm pack of healing herbs may be applied to the affected area.
